Crime After Crime
Satire about the corporate crime wave uncovered during the Dubya administration
(Sung to the tune of "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper)

(instrumental intro)

Lying to investors about stock picks, their prophets' view.
In corporate circles, collusion is nothing new.
Bush hacks... took bites... of those left behind.
Pensions now memories, crime after...

These crimes meant victory for robbers who got ahead.
Appalling to see, but it's clear - big firms dead.
Who will pay?  Don't know... Bush will be kind.
The S.E.C. won't mind...

There's no cost to these crooks,
Though they're committing... crime after crime.
After all, who will catch them?
They're repeating... crime after crime.

(instrumental break)

After these corporate raids,
Their darkness has now seen day.
Watch as the White House is blustering, "Things are okay."
Savings stolen... from deep inside.
These bums should all serve time.

There's no cost to these crooks,
Though they're committing... crime after crime.
After all, who will catch them?
They're repeating... crime after crime.

Who will pay?  Don't know...
Bush will be kind.
The S.E.C. won't mind

There's no cost to these crooks,
Though they're committing... crime after crime.
After all, who will catch them?
They are repeating... crime after crime.
Crime after crime...
Crime after crime...
Crime after crime...
