Crooks With Money
Satire about the rash of big-time accounting scandals and their ties to the Bush Administration
(Sung to the tune of "Cook With Honey" by Judy Collins)

(instrumental intro)

Often warned he must crack down.
In high places, graft abounds.
Bush spins a fable:
"A few bad apples... in command."

Chorus:
Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Still greasing up the Right.
Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Kenny Lay was really tight
With Mr. Shrub.

Bad behavior?  Shrub's their savior.
Out of sight, out of mind.
So sleazy are his ties to their kind.
By researching what went wrong,
Bush's house may burn when it hits home

Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Still greasing up the Right.
Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Kenny Lay was really tight
With Mr. Shrub.

(instrumental break)

Bush's door is always open,
When these crooks come look for more.
Getting favors from Shrub is
What he got paid for...

So they'll come to beg their POTUS.
He'll do just what they want him to.
Behind him are spinners...
Bush's scandals they must smooth...

Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Still greasing up the Right.
Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Kenny Lay was really tight
With Mr. Shrub.

Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Still greasing up the Right.
Won't go away, these... crooks with money.
Kenny Lay was really tight
With Mr. Shrub.

(repeat chorus and fade)
