Smirk & Kenneth Lay
Satire about Enron-Gate, pResident Smirk, and his pal, Enron CEO Kenneth Lay
(Sung to the tune of "Surfin' U.S.A." by The Beach Boys)

(instrumental intro)

The Enron scandal's set in motion,
And it won't go away.
You don't see Dubya's smirkin'.
His smugness torn away.
He's hiding behind his flunkies;
They're touched by scandals, too.
The Bushie Boy and his guru:
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.

Friends of Ol' Smirk just went too far,
To levy just a fine.
Enron was just a vessel
For power-drunken wine.
Enron stock went splattin',
While big wigs got away.
Ethics they are shirkin',
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.

The Right Wing's caught, but they shout:
"For heaven's sake, change tune!"
They're attacking on the switchboards.
They hope it ends real soon.
Momentum gone is a bummer.
Disrupted "Dubya's Way."
Enron workers they're jerkin',
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.

Can't blame this on "commies."
Illegal inside trades.
Rake over this "jet set."
Watch Bush's polls all fade.
Moral ayatollahs
Look the other way.
Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.

(instrumental break)

Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.
Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.
Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.
Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.
Enron scandal is hurtin'
Smirk and Kenneth Lay.

(repeat refrain and fade)
