Spock's Logical Song
(Sung to the tune of "The Logical Song" by Supertramp)

As sung by Mr. Spock of the Starship Enterprise:

(introduction)

They are high strung; humans describe life as "wonderful, a miracle,"
That's too much to be logical.
Is emotion disease? Humans swing from being happily,
Jokingly, to as sad or mad as can be.

As a Vulcan, I say, Starfleet taught me to be sensible,
Logical, responsible, dutiful.
I explore other worlds on a starship; a dependable,
Clinical, intellectual pinnacle.

There are times McCoy thinks I'm a creep,
Because I think too deep, as no mere human can.
Undeceived, I've watched for years and learned
Emotions are absurd, yet part of who I am.

(instrumental break)

I'm half-human, okay? So don't be calling me mechanical,
Maniacal, reprehensible, nonsensical.
Mr. Spock is my name, I find logic so acceptable,
Respectable, methodical, presentable.

(instrumental break)

At night, while I am in deep sleep,
My questions bounce and leap.
I'm half Vulcan-Terran.
I'm now pleased, at peace with what I've learned.
Emotions aren't absurd.
They're part of who I am...
Who I am...
Who I am...
Who I am...

(instrumental break and fade)
