Gore's Internet
(Sung to the tune of "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega)
Guest song parody by Alvin Dover, alvindover@hotmail.com

(As sung by Dubya Bush)

(instrumental intro)

I was sitting in a chat room,
Feeling mildly amused.
When I saw something strange
That left me all confused.

Someone typed an obscure word,
And as far as I could tell,
I had never seen before.
Just what is an "LOL"?

Then the plot seemed to get thicker;
Saw more words I didn't know.
Unknown person started typing
The word "LMAO."

I sat there in sheer amazement.
Acronyms or strange ebonics?
Or could it be these people
Were conversing in a code?

(instrumental break)

At my screen, I then I looked closer.
And found the subtle code clue.
I've got this code figured out,
I will share it now with all of you...

Listen to my wisdom,
"LOL" means these three words:
They must mean "Lean Over, Lady!"
What a code; it seems quite shady.

"LMAO" was hard.
It made me sweat my balls.
LMAO's a command
Meaning, "Leave Me Alone, Ox!"

I can't trust this World Wide Web.
Gore allowed these codes to exist.
To the 'Net, I say, "YODSL"
Meaning, "You're On Dubya's Sh*t List!"
