Harvey Is The Pits
Satire about Harvey Pitt, Bush's inept Chair of the Securities & Exchange Commission (S.E.C.)
(Sung to the tune of "Bennie & The Jets" by Elton John)

(instrumental intro)

Naked greed colludes together.
The spotlight now on scandals; Bush is in for stormy weather.
Investors got the shaft, all right; cooked books were found.
The right wing press won't face the music; they just mute the sound.

Relying on Harvey was their good safe bet.
"Watch dog" without a snout.
Ha, ha, ha! Harvey is the pits.
Bush said that Pitt is so wonderful.
He'd "clean up the industry."
But Pitt is in cahoots... with corporate suits.
This toothless Chairman of the S.E.C.
Whoa-oa... Harvey is the pits.

(brief instrumental break)

Stocks fall, workers lose their wages;
Daily reminders of scandals on the pages.
Sleaze shall survive, because Harvey for so long
Had represented corporate cheats;
Denied in court they were wrong.

(instrumental break)

Relying on Harvey was their good safe bet.
"Watch dog" without a snout.
Ha, ha, ha! Harvey is the pits.
Bush said that Pitt is so wonderful.
He'd "clean up the industry."
But Pitt is in cahoots... with corporate suits.
This toothless Chairman of the S.E.C.
Whoa-oa... Harvey is the pits.

Harvey!  Harvey!  Harvey!  Harvey!
Harvey is the pits!
