Rum's On The Rocks
The military torture scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq has led to world-wide calls for the resignation of Bush's Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld
(Sung to the tune of "Love On The Rocks" by Neil Diamond)

(instrumental intro)

Rum's on the rocks; ain't no big surprise.
Scandal does stink in Iraq, but he lies.
He's got much to lose,
So he blames lowly crews... for the crime.

MPs took part in a "softening" role,
And contractors struck fear in the young and old.
How far they've gone:
Torture, they want; naked pile.

Words they said to taunt you.
Then they will really beat you.
Suddenly your lights are out; bare;
Walking in the buff.
They took pictures of you,
And they're laughing at you.
Nothing you can do or say.
You cannot leave, nor get away.
They all knew; it's wrong.

Web speed spread their deeds:
Pictures they took to flaunt.
Not much they can do,
Crimes revealed, they don't want.
We hear huge lies above,
And we're told that old Rum's on the rocks.

Words they said to taunt you.
Then they will really beat you.
Suddenly your lights are out; bare;
Walking in the buff.
They took pictures of you,
And they're laughing at you.
Nothing you can do or say.
You cannot leave, nor get away.
They all knew; it's wrong.

Rum's on the rocks; ain't no big surprise.
Scandal does stink in Iraq, but he lies.
How far they've gone:
Torture, they want; naked pile.
